e-NABLE is a global network of volunteers who are using their 3D printers, design skills, and personal time to create free 3D printed prosthetic hands for those in need, specially children.
I have joined e-NABLE as a volunteer to fabricate 3D prosthetic hands in October, 2015. And I have printed seven hands so far. My first two hands were shipped as parts to the "1000 Hands by October" project from e-NABLE.
For my 8th grade learning project I decided to create an e-NABLE club at my school (SCDS). I have started last December by raising awareness and money at the SCDS Entrepreneur Fair. The club was officially launched on Jan 5 at school assembly. Our first meeting was on Jan 6; near 20 kids showed up, some of them extremely motivated to start 3D-printing hands for e-NABLE.
e-NABLE Hand, these are the 3D printed parts of a raptor reloaded hand designed by e-NABLE volunteers and printed by me. All e-NABLE hand designs are open source.
